SS24 A Liberty Kaleidoscope

For Spring/Summer 2024, A Liberty Kaleidoscope takes us on the most vivid journey of all – through the rainbow, into a prismatic universe of colour. Practical and emotive, subjective yet universal, the artistic application of colour has fascinated humanity for tens of thousands of years. In this collection, the Liberty Fabrics designers explore the cultural, natural and historical components of different colour categories.

Split into four compelling stories, the collection covers the multi-hued ‘Spectrum’ as well as the three primary colours ‘Red’, ‘Blue’ and ‘Yellow’. First, we explore the magic of the rainbow, all the way from early scientific colour theory to the beauty of vibrant natural phenomena. Then we meet the very first human art colour, red – an enduring symbol of passion and vitality. Next is blue, where air and water echo in an endless horizon. Finally, we find ourselves in yellow’s warm and optimistic glow. All are interconnected, appearing across prints and palettes chosen to reflect Liberty’s historic studio and archive.
