Description
FuturLiberty is an exploration of the unexpected in the Liberty archive, resulting in a reinvention of Liberty Fabrics – inspired by, and celebrating the artistic movements of Futurism, Vorticism and a century of avant-garde.
In collaboration with expert textile mills in Italy, Belgium, and India, the subtle textures and details from the artwork have been carefully translated into a beautiful array of woven, embroidered, and printed fabrics. From surprising geometrics, lively abstractions, and rhythmic lines, this innovative Interiors collection combines the designer’s artistic sensibilities with expert craftsmanship.
Meticulously hand-painted in the Liberty Design Studio, in the heart of London, and expertly crafted in Italy, Belgium, and India.
Originally a scarf design from the Liberty archive, Tudor Columns reflects the iconic Tudor building that houses Liberty’s flagship store and Design Studio where the FuturLiberty collection was first imagined. This high-density Jacquard velvet, juxtaposed with a raffia ground, is perfect for upholstery and decorative accessories, such as cushions. Available in two colourways: Vesuvio and Cetona.
