The interior fabric and wallpaper collection draws on pivotal moments that have defined Liberty as the leading tastemaker and artistic innovator of interior design. Framed by the rich textures and relaxed glamour of bohemian botanicals lies the genesis of Liberty. Discovered in the renowned 60,000-strong design archive, high Victorian maximalist-style paisleys, embellished embroideries, and ‘70s style florals are complemented by characterful geometrics and formal stripes. Inspired by the sophistication of artists, poets, and playwrights from the sensuous Aesthetic movement, The House of Liberty embodies the decades’ cultural shifts in a captivating array of harmonious juxtapositions.
Inspired by a hand-painted Liberty artwork created in 1973, Orbella has been reimagined into a dynamic geometric pattern featuring a striking interplay of alternating stripes and circles. Reminiscent of a modernist collage, this contemporary coordinate utilises contrasting and complementary colours to create a vibrant visual rhythm.
