Description
The new Liberty Interiors collection celebrates our historic lineage of craftsmanship and design, as seen through the eyes of The Modern Collector – with Liberty wallpaper printed on premium non-woven substrates at a historic factory in England, using the finest modern and traditional techniques to ensure softness, stability and richly-defined colour.
Ianthe is a quintessential example of French Art Nouveau design, originally created as a wallpaper border by artist R. Beauclair in c.1902 and printed for Liberty in 1967. Ianthe Mono is a one-colour version of Ianthe – discovered hidden in the archive, it evokes the forms first used by Liberty in the ‘60s. The textured non-woven ground is softly visible through the chalky pigments layered on top.
“Liberty has always appealed to the heart and spirit of the collector – those with a passion for unique pieces that transcend the generations. The Modern Collector is dedicated to those enthusiasts, past and present.” – Genevieve Bennett, Head of Design Liberty Interiors
