The interior fabric and wallpaper collection draws on pivotal moments that have defined Liberty as the leading tastemaker and artistic innovator of interior design. Framed by the rich textures and relaxed glamour of bohemian botanicals lies the genesis of Liberty. Discovered in the renowned 60,000-strong design archive, high Victorian maximalist-style paisleys, embellished embroideries, and ‘70s style florals are complemented by characterful geometrics and formal stripes. Inspired by the sophistication of artists, poets, and playwrights from the sensuous Aesthetic movement, The House of Liberty embodies the decades’ cultural shifts in a captivating array of harmonious juxtapositions.
Drawing inspiration from a collection of Jacobean-style, hand-painted artworks discovered in the Liberty archive, this striking ornamental embroidery showcases the grandeur of early 17th century textiles. Oversized flowers enveloped by lush foliage are depicted in refreshing hues and arranged in a trailing Tree of Life-style pattern, highlighting the richness of flow and form. Carefully crafted by expert embroiderers in India using brightly hued yarns, Eden Orchard is ideal for general domestic upholstery, drapery, and cushions.
